Irish Soda Bread with Raisins

Irish Soda Bread

3 cups flour

1 Tbsp bkg powder

1/3 cup white sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 egg

2 cups buttermilk

1/4 cup butter, melted

2/3 cup raisins

Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a 9X5 loaf pan.

Mix ingredients just enough.

Bake about an hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

This bread is from an old old recipe handed down from....ok, I found it on allrecipes.com. It's good - it doesn't need any butter or anything.
Ahm num num num.....ahm num num....this one took me off South Beach permanently! Oh, what I was missing!!!
